Hals- und Beinbruch

A game to learn german or french for the personal of the canton Fribourg hospital. Awarded in 2022, it's a tool to discover typical vocabulary and sentences used in a hospital.

This game was commissioned in 2021 by the Fribourg Cantonal Hospital to facilitate the learning of a new language for their staff. The hospital being bilingual while it’s not the case of the majority of their coworkers, they wanted to equip themselves with a tool specially addressed to the hospital staff.

In Hals- und Beinbruch, we play as a member of the staff in a hospital full of crazy patients and we have to take care of them: admission, care, restaurant and emergency are different stations the player will have to attend to during 10 minutes in order to discover as much vocabulary as possible.

Available in french and german, including a lexicon, an interactive menu and tons of information on the hospital, Hals- und Beinbruch has seduced the Canton Fribourg who gave it in 2022 the 2nd award of the Day for Bilinguism.
