Danger in Pompeii

An adventure and educative game about Pompeii, the eruption of the Vesuvium and everyday life of Romans. This mobile video game based upon historical documents has been developed in collaboration with Le Rosey Institute.

This collaborative project has been developed under the direction of Anne Gudin, Pompeii expert and ex-director of Le Rosey. Every content of the game has been thoroughly verified to match precisely the latest historical information available.

As well as promoting the history of Ancient Rome in a fun and engaging way, the aim of the project was to introduce students at the prestigious Le Rosey Institute to video game creation. 50 young boys and girls, supervised by DNA Studios and their teachers, have produced the original score of the game, graphic researches, game designs of mini-games and they followed the whole creative process.

Available on the App Store, the video game received many oustanding reviews from players all over the world (USA, Japan, Germany, Italia, Korea…) and has been downloaded more than 15’000 times during the first month. “Danger in Pompeii” is a pedagogical ressource for schools and can be used in class to tackle this part of history.
